偶然间发现了这个网址，发现张老师居然是乐天老师的父亲。

有朝一日，春回大地；有朝一日，征战不已。为什么总有四时更替，而生命却无止息呢？

一切都很偶然。
刚刚在阅读张老师的文章《Status Inconsistency Revisited: An Improved Statistical Model》，本来想follow下张老师的后续进展，结果在芝加哥官网发现了这个悼念网址。原来张老师已然离世，这篇文章竟是最后遗作。
偶然又发现，张老师竟是我一直很喜欢的乐天老师的父亲，这大抵是传承与学术的缘分。
缅怀，悼念。

I am so sorry for your loss.  I will always remember Joseph's lovely smile and that he was a kind person.

My thoughts will be with his friends and family.
